Terms between “us” (POPArt) and “you” – customer of POPArt.

Cancellations & Refund Policy

  1. More than 3 Days’ Notice: Refundable
  1. Refunds requested 72 hours before an event will be honoured and 100 percent refunded. Refunds will be made available, within 14 days of receiving Written Notification and must be picked up at an arranged date and time. *minus any processing fees, which will be declared and evidenced in the refund. All refund requests must be made by Written Notification and must be sent by email to: popartjhb@gmail.com. SMS, text message notifications will not be considered satisfactory and refunds will not be prepared as a result of their receipt.
  1. Less than 3 days’ notice: Non-Refundable
    Refunds are not possible if less than 3 days’ (72 hours before the start of the event) notice is given. At the managements’ discretion it may be possible to change your ticket booking to another date or show, space permitting. Refunds will be given if a performance has been cancelled by POPArt, unless the performance has reached the point of its interval.
    POPArt reserves the right to make alterations to the published programme without prior notice. Where the programme has been altered POPArt will not be obligated to refund a purchase or exchange tickets. Tickets are not transferable within the scheduled season.
  2. Latecomers
    With regret, refunds or credit cannot be given to latecomers to a show.
    At the managements’ discretion it may be possible to change your ticket booking to another date or show, space permitting. Where we are obliged or have undertaken to give you a refund, we will endeavour to return the funds by the same means as they were transmitted. Where this is not possible due to technical or other limitations we will either issue a gift voucher or make an EFT deposit by arrangement with you.
  3. Security
    We use industry-standard SSL encryption (https) on the booking pages and also between our system and our upstream payment providers: PayFast (Visa, MasterCard, EFT, Zapper and other means), I-Pay (instant EFT to the 6 major banks), Luno (for Bitcoin and in future other cryptos) and SnapScan. We do not retain your card information in our database. This is why you need to re-enter your card details each time you purchase tickets with us.
  4. Collection
    Please allow at least 15 minutes before the start of the show to collect your tickets so as not to delay the start of the show. Latecomers will be not be admitted until a suitable break or interval.
  5. Phones, Cameras and Recording Equipment
    The use of cameras and recording equipment is strictly forbidden during a performance. The theatre is a no-phone-zone, therefore, please ensure your phone is SWITCHED off before entering.
  6. Right of Admission
    POPArt reserves the right to refuse admission.

No Unaccompanied Minors

  1. Seating Unreserved
    Seating is unreserved. Please arrive in good time to ensure you can sit together. Please make front-of-house staff aware of any special requirements before the show.

The venue’s fixed seating plan has been reduced to 50%
You will be asked to keep your mask on for the entire time that you are inside the venue and the roofed area of the building.
Within the venue, we make use of temperature reading, ventilation and constant cleaning to ensure the venue remains a safe and hygienic experience.

You will be asked to have your temperature read, as well as to sign an indemnity before entering the Centre space. Please ensure that you arrive at least 15 min before the start of the show.

Absolutely NO WALK-INS. Online Bookings only.

After purchasing tickets, if you experience any COVID related symptoms, or come into contact with someone who has tested positive, we ask you please not to attend the performance. Please understand that we will not be able to refund this ticket after the date of performance. We are happy for this ticket to be exchanged with another audience member, or exchanged for a future event at the Centre. This can be co-ordinated at popartjhb@gmail.com
