Two bodies. Two solos. One collision with metal, gravity and endurance:
A double-bill performance by Gavin Krastin and Alan Parker.
Heavy Metal is a double-bill of two solo performances that excavate our human
entanglement with metal and the ways it shapes bodies, movement and lived experience.
Developed and performed by Alan Parker and Gavin Krastin, the works bring together two
contrasting yet interconnected perspectives: one grounded in an able-bodied experience
and the other shaped by disability and the presence of metal inside the spine. Together, the
works form a nuanced dialogue around weight, lift, support and the fragile negotiations
between vulnerability and resilience.
