Two brothers return home after undergoing Xhosa initiation together, carrying more than the experience of the mountain between them. As old wounds resurface and long-held silences begin to break, their relationship is tested by family expectations, grief, masculinity and the weight of becoming men.
Set in the intimacy of a family backroom, SALUKA is a moving exploration of brotherhood, fatherhood and the difficult journey of finding one's place as a man.
SCRIPT TEASE offers productions (or writers) and audiences the opportunity to be in dialogue before work is put on the floor. Additionally, it offers audiences a window into various processes, as well as the chance to experience work that is otherwise difficult to mount. Readings are followed by a dialogue with the audience.
